Came here for Father's Day this year because the whole family raved about how great this place was. Ordered a meal with no eggs (due to an allergy) and when it came to the table you could tell there had been eggs in it and they had "picked" them out. I was disappointed because all the meal had was hash browns (country potatoes) and not many of them, bell peppers and onions (looked like a whole onion and bell pepper was used) and then a side of meat. Very disappointed in the meal. I would probably have tried this place again (not on a holiday) but with the whole egg being picked out instead of not put in like I requested, I just can't bring myself to go again.

Meh it's was meh I had high hopes but everything lacked flavor. The wait was long which was crazy because we went Around 1030 on a Monday. The cinnamon roll wasn't that impressive, the biscuits and gravy were bland and our first batch was very badly burnt. I had a scramble, it was a HUGE portion and lacked flavor. I give a few stars to the service. When we mentioned the burnt gravy she immediately got us a new batch. Also the hash browns are not what you would expect. Thick shreds of potato barley cooked. Just go to Jamie's, it's much better!

The food was over the top amazing. The rodondo was fabulous, the biscuits and gravy was right on and the 5 car breakfast was delicious. Little gem in the middle of what seems like nowhere aka hidden secret. Will definitely return when in town The service was superb and the waitress definitely went above and beyond in providing customer service to us. Thanks Callie.

Absolutely love this place, my husband owns MountainView Autowerks just down the road. We moved from cali an it's been an adjustment. But when we came to back burner all the staff were so nice an treated even my 18 month old like family. I ordered the burger with bacon onions an bbq sauce on Texas toast with sweet potato fries. One I'm very picky with my sweet potato fries, an these were on top best I've ever had The sandwich was nothing short of amazing with great flavor. My husband had the salad with the onion tanglers on top an he said it was the best salad he had ever had. He also said the dressing was so different but honestly so very good I would not only rather give our money to local businesses but this place earned every star !!! Yes it gets busy. But not once have I ever felt I haven't gotten great service. This is our new favorite spot.

The Best breakfast place in town hands down. I always get prompt service and good food. The biscuits and gravy or cinnamon rolls are always a winner they also make good pancakes or omelettes. And their prices are reasonable.

Breakfast for lunch (or supper) has always been a favorite meal for me. When we walked in the first thing that caught our eye was the homemade sweet rolls as big as a frisbee. Today I gave in to my southern roots and had chicken fried steak with gravy, eggs, hash browns and a biscuit the size of a small plate. It was awesome! We are moving to this neighborhood in Prescott Valley next month and we've already decided this is going to be a regular stop. They only serve breakfast and lunch but that's okay. I'll be back.

Welllll...Came in about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon gave our name and sat down..There was a couple ahead of us..They got seated..Another couple came in, and gave their name ,and sat down in waiting area with us. A group of 5 people came in and gave their name and sat in waiting area with us..Next name on list was "Jim" "Jim Jim Jim...no Jim..obviously they forgot to cross out the couple ahead of us. 15 minutes of waiting and She goes up to the couple that had come in several minutes after us and seats them..We just left for good..bye bye

A bit disappointed our coffee tasted like hot water with a hint of coffee we asked our waitress if she could give us from a newer pot and it bothered her. But she still brought us new coffee and still tasted the same.. :/ it shouldn't bother the waitress. Its all about the service.

The Back Burner is located very near my home, so me and my large extended family have tried it a couple of times, hoping to make it work for convenience's sake. Most of the food is decent, nothing to write home about, but the service is what we in the end just couldn't tolerate. I realize waitstaff work very hard, are underpaid and often undervalued by employers and patrons alike, so I always go out of my way to be polite and courteous to them, and to tip well. So I was shocked when both times we went, receiving a different waitress for each, how rude they were to us. They ignored us as much as possible, when we did manage to flag one down they acted as if we were "bothering" them with our requests, didn't put in part of our order so some of our party was left without food until the rest had pretty much finished, and brought out under-cooked eggs and cinnamon rolls that were still wet dough in the middle. Gross. Needless to say, we haven't been back. We'd rather drive a little farther to Jaime's Waffle Express and feel welcomed and valued than cross the street to be resented by the staff at Back Burner Cafe.

Omg, the best breakfast place around. What am I saying; it's the best breakfast place I've been to in years (if you don't count a boozy brunch). The food is fresh and cooked just right. The food here has gotten worse and worse. I don't think the cooks take any pride in what they're doing. Everything is cold and under cooked. Just a shame because there was a time when their food was pretty darn good....oh and the cinnamon rolls are ok, but they're not home made at all. They are frozen logs from a box. I won't be eating here anymore.

They have CinABon best hands down. Leave your consideration of calories at the door and just enjoy. Fabulous sticky buns, light not heavy. Biscuits and gravy "like gravy is supposed to be," as my son said. My husband said its the best coffee ever. The locals know where the best food is, and that's why this place is consistently busy. On the weekend, get there before 8:30 AM to avoid the wait.

We have been going to Backburner a couple times a month for the past few years, and we have not had a bad experience yet. It has dependable good food. I have never ordered of the lunch menu; we always go for breakfast and it comes out fast with generous portion sizes. Have to admit it is not fancy or elaborate, but for breakfast in Prescott Valley I don't think it can be beat.

You know me, I'm always trying to steer mom away from those chain restaurants so when she stopped by the other day and wanted to go to the IHOP place, I talked her into trying the Back Burner instead. We were both disappointed and decided it was a good try, but we probably won't go back. We both ordered breakfast. I had poached eggs on an English muffin. The eggs were poached absolutely perfectly but one of the muffins was crisp and the other totally soggy, so I'm guessing it got doused with the poaching water by mistake. My hash browns were barely warm and they were chewy to boot, as if they'd been made yesterday and reheated maybe in the microwave. I took one bite of them and said 'forget it'. I noticed mom did not eat her hash browns either. No one asked us how our food was. No one asked us if we needed anything else. No one even told us we had to pay at the counter. The waitress put our bill on our table without so much as a word and walked away. As we left, I asked mom what she thought of her breakfast and she admitted, hers wasn't all that good either.

Good food! good service! Reasonable prices. This place was nearby our house and never thought about going, and are now sorry we hadn't gone sooner. They only serve breakfast and lunch and are open from about 6am to 2pm mon-sat and 7am to 2pm sun.

I gave this place 5-stars just based on the food and price although I have never gotten bad service here, its always more the fine for a diner atmosphere. This mom and pop shop wins hands down the best breakfast in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area. Food is plentiful and the price is right. My favorite here is what they call a Five Car Pileup but be warned its ALOT of food. Pancakes are great, saugage gravy is to die for and so is the chicken fried steak. Its a bit off the beaten path in North Prescott Valley off 89a but well worth going out of the way for.

Ok, so I am a little obsessed with Yelp but it has nerry steered us wrong! My wife and I tried the Back Burner for breakfast at the start of a motorcycle ride. It was very good. The portions are BIG and the prices are very reasonable. What a find! Rving through Prescott Valley... stayed at the Fairgrounds RV Park... drove into town to find the morning paper & coffee and we got lucky & drove by this great spot. This was about 7:30 AM and we noticed quite a number of pu trucks & cars in the parking lot.... and a cop car just left. Good sign! We just wanted coffee since we were driving on to Jerome for burgers at Haunted Hamburger but my husband noticed that they had "homemade cinnamon rolls". When the gal brought it to the the table we were amazed.... it was the size of a dinner plate with melted butter on the top and dripping down the sides. It was one of the greatest cinnamon rolls I've had.... I just had to try a bite! Wish we were going to be in town to try the rest of the menu but we will definitely be here next year on our yearly trip to Arizona. It looks like they are open 6 AM to 3 PM daily. PS... friendly gal & very generous with fill-ups!
